Villa Avalon, located on the central Pacific Coast of Costa Rica is a fantastic destination for any families (including pets!) or large groups, looking to explore and get the most out of their trip to this gorgeous country. The house is a 1.5hr drive from the San Jose airport and is located in a secure gated community, within Punta Leona.

The house has 7 bedroom suits sleeping up to 18 people and a full time maid, cook and concierge service to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The house includes a 40 meter swimming pool with a 33 meter swimming lane and outdoor gym/weights area, with a large Jacuzzi on the above balcony. Adjacent to the kitchen is a breakfast nook and external barbeque area. There is also a large lounge space with a full size pool table, board games, enclosed bar and plenty of relaxation space, with access to Wi-Fi and a telephone.

The Villa takes advantage of an incredible panoramic view of the ocean and forested moutains, with sunset views all year round. Due to the its 100m elevation above sea level, the villa experiences wonderful refreshing sea breezes most afternoons. In the mornings you can expect to wake up to a troop of monkeys or a couple of Scarlet Macaws that like to feed on the many fruit trees surrounding the villa; you can even spot the occasional school of whales swimming in the Gulf of Nicoya below!

Within a matter of minutes from the house you can find yourself at Playa Blanca, a pristine white sand beach. There is also a small pebbly beach a 10 minute walk at the rear of the property which is exclusive to the local gated community.

Being in Costa Rica, nothing is ever too far away, there are countless activities and excursions you can book, and we are happy to give advice and ideas from our own experiences, having been on most of the tours ourselves!

To name a few, there are incredible crocodile tours and monkey mangrove tours you can do by boat; Tortuga island tours; numerous zip-lining tours; white water rafting; adventurous dining experiences; surfing lessons; quad bike trips; horseback riding; Segway tours; sports fishing; golf; waterfall hikes… the list goes on and on and most of these tours and activities can be reached in under half an hour from the house!

Villa Avalon is located just 30 minutes from the local town of Jaco, which is a well known tourist destination where you can find multiple restaurants, bars and casinos.

Playa Blanca is a beautiful white sand beach which is just perfect, being split naturally by a rock buffer, making one half permanently calm, perfect for small children and snorkelling, whilst the far end offers great surfing and body boarding conditions. The beach is also secure with guards and a full time life guard.

Villa Avalon is also a great wedding location, having hosted a number already we can set you up with local wedding planners to prepare for your day.

Villa Avalon and the Punta Leona resort area are truly a family friendly location and as such does not permit inappropriate behaviour that can sometimes be expected with events such as "wild" bachelor parties and the likes, we do this as it is truly a loved home and we wish for it to be treated and used as such by its renters.

General

Villa Avalon is on a terraced site at the top of a small hill with a Ground, First, Second & Third Floor level. It has unobstructed and sunset views over the complete Golf of Nicoya, Playa Blanca, Playa Caletitas (small pebbly beach exclusive to the local condominium) and adjacent naturally forested mountain.

The Villa was completed in 2007 and has a total floor area, excluding terraces of ~1200m2. It has a very large swimming pool (>40m in length) with a 33m long lap lane, large second floor Jacuzzi, large second floor terraces, planted tropical gardens, lawned areas, main electrically operated gate with private driveway.

There is a very large internal 4-6 car garage with adjacent internal storage rooms and there is plenty of alternative external parking areas on site.

Villa Avalon has its own independent, registered water well ~120m deep which is the primary source for water but also has a 50mm diameter connection to the condominium road supply. Internet is provided by both Cable Tica and the local Punta Leona wireless network.

Regarding bedrooms and bathrooms:

There are 8 bedrooms in all one of which also has a kitchenette and we call it the "The Suite". All bedrooms have air conditioning except the Master Bedroom which simply does not require it due to the natural ventilation, fans and its elevation.

Bedroom 1. Master bedroom: whole 3rd floor ~100m2 + two front and back terraces, vestibule area, one King bed with his & hers dressing room. Ensuite bathroom with large Jacuzzi bath and separate large shower area, twin basins and toilet. Views North and South over Playa Blanca beach, Playa Caletitas beach, mountain forest and the complete Gulf of Nicoya.

Bedroom 2. Second Master bedroom: 1st floor ~30m2, vestibule area, one King bed, separate dressing area. Ensuite bathroom with large Jacuzzi bath and separate large shower area, twin basins, toilet & bidet. Opens out onto pool area with two patio doors.

Bedroom 3. 1st floor ~20m2, Queen bed. Ensuite bathroom with large shower area, single basin& toilet. Opens out onto pool area with two patio doors.

Bedroom 4. 1st floor ~20m2, King bed. Ensuite bathroom with large shower area, single basin & toilet. Opens out onto pool area and balcony with two patio doors.

Bedroom 5. 1st floor ~20m2, Two Queen beds. Ensuite bathroom with large shower area, single basin& toilet. Opens out onto pool area with patio door.

Bedroom 6. 1st floor ~20m2, Queen bed. Ensuite bathroom with large shower area, single basin& toilet. Opens out onto pool area with patio door.

Bedroom 7. "The Suite", Ground floor ~40m2, vestibule area, two Queen beds, separate dinning area with kitchenette. Ensuite bathroom with large shower area, basin & toilet. Opens out onto garden area with two patio doors.
